This role oversees and directs the development of policies and procedures for assigned programs to ensure quality care and compliance with funder/payer and accreditation bodies. The Manager supervises, is accessible to, and provides direction to staff, offering leadership and guidance through appropriate utilization and implementation of policies and procedures. This position ensures programs operate according to funding, licensing, and accreditation guidelines, monitors documentation compliance, and supports resiliency and strengths-based services. The Manager strives to create a safe and supportive environment, encouraging employee competency in person-centered services, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse services, and culturally competent services. They ensure services provided are evidenced-based or best practice models and that agency clinical initiatives are followed. The role involves developing, improving, implementing, and monitoring systems for smooth program operation, excellent customer service, timely and accurate clinical documentation, outcome data, and service event entry. The Manager formulates meaningful objectives for assigned programs, establishes systems for tracking and reporting outcomes, and maintains current knowledge of funding contracts, guidelines, and statutes. They ensure JWB funded programs meet ASSET standards, achieve contract minimum service levels, and ensure timely access to services. Additionally, the Manager monitors revenue and expense reports, productivity, and ensures staff complete all documentation in required time frames. They are responsible for staff recruitment, hiring, supervision, and developing orientation and training programs. The role includes providing clinical supervision and assuring training to enhance clinical skills, risk management, documentation, and confidentiality. Supervision techniques are designed to be easily understood and effective in establishing a desired organizational climate. The Manager recognizes and accommodates staff needs, may offer flex time, and completes meaningful performance evaluations with individualized staff development goals. Finally, the Manager networks with other providers and funders and represents the organization at community meetings.
