Manager, Sales Compensation

Flock
$120,000 - $155,000Onsite

About The Position

As Flock grows its sales organization and expands variable-based roles across go-to-market teams, managing the complexity and precision of our commission structures is critical to operational growth. Ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant commission execution requires a dedicated leader who can bring structure and rigor to governance, reporting, and payout systems. This role will own end-to-end sales compensation administration, strengthen cross-functional controls, and scale our compensation infrastructure alongside business growth. This isn't a high-level strategic policy creation role; the focus is directly on the operational execution, data modeling, administration, and governance of sales compensation plans. This is not an isolated accounting function; the role serves as an active cross-functional operational partner across Sales Operations, HR, Finance, and GTM leadership. This isn't a static administration job; the individual will continuously evaluate compensation systems and data pipelines to eliminate manual work and build scalable processes.

Requirements

  • Practical capability in sales compensation administration, sales operations, FP&A, or financial data analysis in high-growth environments.
  • Practical experience administering sales compensation platforms such as SPIFF, CaptivateIQ, or Varicent, alongside systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, Sigma, or Coupa.
  • Advanced analytical and data modeling skills using tools like Google Sheets or Excel to process sensitive, high-impact commission calculations with precision.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex payout calculations and governance structures to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • A WorldatWork Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end administration, governance, and payout execution for all variable sales compensation programs across GTM roles.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and Accounting to maintain strict compliance, auditability, and data integrity across payout cycles.
  • Manage sales compensation systems and data workflows to ensure accurate calculation and timely resolution of commission inquiries.
  • Build and refine operational controls, reporting dashboards, and governance mechanisms to increase payout transparency and process scalability.
  • Guide GTM leadership through commission plan performance analysis and operational workflow enhancements as compensation programs evolve.
