About The Position

Terra-Gen is seeking a Manager to join its Corporate Risk Management department. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading independent power producers in the United States as Terra-Gen continues to expand its domestic portfolio of wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. The Manager will report to the Director, Risk Management, and partner with departments across the organization to administer, monitor, and enhance existing risk management programs for comprehensiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in related risk management role required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and prioritize effectively across multiple projects.
  • Ability to drive vehicles on Company business and meet Company’s established Driving Criteria, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Employees must be authorized to work in the US and employment is contingent upon presentation of acceptable documents as evidence of identity and employment authorization, as detailed on Form I-9.

Nice To Haves

  • risk management and/or insurance designations preferred.
  • 3-5 years preferred.
  • 7–10 years of underwriting or broker service experience and strong proficiency in liability lines, including general liability, auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella coverage can be considered equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the collection of underwriting information; review and analyze submission materials; and provide recommendations on the appropriate treatment of exposures.
  • Ensure post-renewal documentation—including binders, policies, endorsements, and policy-posting materials—is collected, reviewed for accuracy, and distributed as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of claims under all policies, with primary responsibility for general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, and adjusters throughout the claims process.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for requests and issuance of Certificates of Insurance from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and manage certificate issuance to counterparties following each annual renewal.
  • Support Legal and Procurement by reviewing insurance requirements and advising on appropriate insurance provisions for various counterparties.
  • Support financing activities.
  • Collaborate on the development of training materials for presentation to internal managers.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Stay current on risk management, insurance, and relevant industry trends.
