About The Position

The Manager Revenue Requirements provides leadership, direction, and coordination for the preparation, filing, and defense of retail rate relief requests and other retail regulatory filings as necessary, including all regulatory-approved tracking mechanisms for the Eversource System. This role supports a hybrid work policy, requiring employees to work at least three days in the office, with specific days determined by department needs. Applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed due to policy changes or business requirements. The company does not offer immigration-related sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of utility ratemaking theories and processes.
  • Knowledge of utility accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability in areas of financial reporting and analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability in working across functional / organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely-related discipline required.
  • Ten (10) or more years of related experience required.
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the preparation of filings to state public utilities commission.
  • Managing and coordinating the preparation of filing materials (testimony, supporting schedules, and other exhibits) required to defend the Company’s regulatory proposals.
  • Developing or overseeing the development of analysis that will support the filings in an ethical manner, including accounting practices and financial principles unique to utilities.
  • Managing the preparation of cost of service filings that support a reasonable rate of return to investors, including filings related to periodic reconciling mechanisms and base rate cases.
  • Developing project plans and timelines, leading multi-functional teams through the drafting of filing material, prioritizing tasks, resolving disagreements, and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Managing a team of four to five direct reports, monitoring action plans and critical path schedules, setting direction for the work group based on the business plan and filing schedules, and developing actionable plans with staff to achieve goals.
  • Overseeing work organization and planning, providing clear communication regarding day-to-day work and project assignments, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinating the preparation of responses to discovery from regulatory agencies and interveners.
  • Testifying as an expert company witness in support of regulatory proposals and providing technical expertise related to regulatory initiatives.
  • Fostering a productive, engaging, and inclusive work environment with open communication.
  • Building team capability, ensuring appropriate training and cross-training, resources, and support for the team.
