About The Position

This role involves working with the finance and clinical departments to develop and implement a third-party payer pricing strategy, ensuring effective revenue cycle management from patient pre-registration to accounts receivable. The position also requires leadership in initiatives, projects, and programs, including personnel management for specific projects. A key aspect is managing the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, developing project plans, resource allocation, and timelines, while reporting progress to stakeholders and communicating organizational changes. The role also focuses on performance development, including staffing, retention, performance management, and employee development, in collaboration with HR and department leadership. Financial management includes monitoring internal controls, cash management, accounts receivable, financial performance analysis, variance evaluation, and establishing productivity metrics. This role oversees multiple teams responsible for accounts receivable management, including billing, collections, cash posting, refunds, financial clearance, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

Responsibilities

  • Work with the finance department and clinical departments to develop a third party payer pricing strategy and monitor its implementation and financial impact.
  • Develops effective policies and practices to ensure effective revenue cycle management.
  • Ensures the effective implementation of revenue cycle strategies from patient insurance pre-registration and pre-authorization to accounts receivable.
  • Provide leadership on initiatives, projects or programs.
  • Collaborate with appropriate parties to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services.
  • May manage personnel related to specific projects.
  • Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals.
  • Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees.
  • Partner with department leadership to ensure effective performance management of direct reports.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for orientation of new employees.
  • Mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with human resources business partners department leadership to meet the division's talent management goals.
  • Support organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensure communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements.
  • Monitor internal controls for cash management.
  • Maintain and monitor financial controls.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accounts receivable management.
  • Analyze and monitor financial performance and assist in the reporting of financial results.
  • Evaluate variances, determine underlying causes and identify, present, and implement proposed solutions.
  • Establish and monitor productivity metrics.
  • Accountable for compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversees multiple teams of accounts receivable management. Including, but not limited to billing, collections, cash posting, refunds, financial clearance, and customer service.
