About The Position

The Manager, Revenue Accounting provides leadership and strategic support for the revenue accounting team, overseeing revenue recognition compliance, policy deployment, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures adherence to US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and industry standards while building a high-performing team and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience, with 6+ years of revenue recognition experience.
  • Expert knowledge of software revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers) with the ability to apply and communicate this knowledge proactively.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated experience providing guidance, mentorship, and support to developing team members.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills; able to maintain positive, professional, and constructive communication with team members and management.
  • Strong financial systems background with the ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced, and highly organized environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, IT, and Global Services while mentoring/supporting more junior team members.
  • Industry experience in the application of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and/or IFRS standards with a track record of educating team members on compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional follow-through and a customer-service-driven approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues; provide expert guidance and resolve challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Approve new and update existing revenue-related policies and procedures; review and recommend improvements to documentation prepared by team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Industry standards, proactively educating team members on regulatory requirements and updates.
  • Maintain processes to support our monthly close process, including reviewing/preparing journal entries, analytics, and reconciliations.
  • Review and prepare control documentation for executed contracts.
  • Mentor and support more junior team members.
