About The Position

This position will support pharmacy services at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. The Manager Retail Pharmacy is responsible for organizing and coordinating a staff of professional and technical personnel engaged in compounding and dispensing medications and other pharmaceutical supplies. This position is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. Ensures pharmacy and staff are compliant with both State and Federal rules and regulations pertaining to retail pharmacy which includes ensuring all requirements of third-party payors are met. Maintains medication records that pertain to retail pharmacy in order to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Three years working in a retail pharmacy setting to understand and manage all aspects of services provided, as well as laws and regulatory compliance relating to retail pharmacy services.
Current Illinois State Pharmacist License.
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with department staff, physicians, nurses and other various Hospital personnel on a variety of pharmaceutical topics.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Science Pharmacy or PharmD
Prior retail pharmacy manager experience.
