Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience required.
  • Minimum four years of experience in a sales, retail or banking environment required.
  • Comply with SAFE Act legislation, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).

Responsibilities

  • Build BECU brand awareness through local partnerships, community engagement, and business development opportunities that drive membership and production.
  • Oversee day to day branch performance to ensure timely, accurate, and high quality service for members.
  • Meet key sales, service, and member experience goals through intentional coaching, clear expectations, and community engagement strategies.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, mentoring, and development to help employees build new skills, advance their careers, and meet performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations using BECU’s competency framework to promote growth and accountability.
  • Review branch volume trends, forecasts, and service reports to maintain strong coverage and manage scheduling needs.
  • Encourage a member first environment, celebrate wins, and address behaviors needing improvement through consistent coaching.
  • Partner with the District Director to manage the annual branch budget and ensure expenditures stay within approved levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business partners, facilities, and property management to ensure smooth operations and positive relationships.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with all BECU policies, procedures, regulations, and training requirements.
  • Work with Recruiting to identify and select top talent aligned with branch and district needs.
  • Maintain general knowledge of all credit union functions to communicate accurately with staff and members.
  • Foster open, transparent communication with employees across the organization to support strategic goals.
  • Seek opportunities to improve branch processes and member experiences by contributing ideas and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support branch and organizational success.
