Position Summary The Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and growth of the plumbing service department. This role focuses on developing technicians, driving revenue and profitability, maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential plumbing experience
  • 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Strong understanding of residential plumbing service operations
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing service technicians in a residential home services environment
  • Knowledge of ServiceTitan or similar field service software
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and departmental performance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top plumbing talent
  • Lead, coach, and mentor plumbing service technicians
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, performance reviews, and training sessions
  • Monitor department performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Collaborate closely with dispatch and operations teams to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure technicians deliver outstanding customer service and maintain company standards
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive results
  • Maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Support technicians in achieving both personal and professional goals
  • Address customer concerns and resolve escalated service issues when needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
