About The Position

Nexamp is seeking a Manager, Financing Operations to lead post-close financing execution across construction debt portfolios and selected tax equity and term financing workstreams tied to construction financing milestones. The role owns the cross-functional construction and tax equity funding process, from tranche notice through investor closing, across MC/SC fundings, term financing, and other structured workstreams. It leads a growing team responsible for conditions-precedent tracking, documentation workflows, reporting coordination, and funding readiness, while developing repeatable operating practices as the portfolio grows. The position reports to the Director, Financing Operations and is hybrid in Nexamp’s Boston office. The Manager will oversee and develop Finance Operations Specialists, own funding workflows and milestones, coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders, and maintain processes and materials that meet investor, internal-control, and audit standards. The role also supports tracking financing-related certifications and compliance items, and represents Financing Operations in cross-functional and, as needed, investor-facing discussions. Nexamp describes its mission as building a clean, simple, and accessible energy future. The company is an equal opportunity employer and states that it provides a work environment free from discrimination. The reasonably estimated salary range is $145,000–$160,000; the compensation package may also include performance incentives and eligibility to participate in the company stock option plan.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of relevant experience in project finance operations, construction financing operations, portfolio operations, loan or closing operations, structured finance support, real estate or documentation-heavy transaction support, or a similar operational role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing conditions-precedent checklists, closing workflows, documentation packages, recurring reporting obligations, or related financing operations processes in a high-volume environment.
  • 1–3+ years of people leadership experience, or strong team-lead experience involving work assignment, coaching, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Operations, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in financing operations, documentation-heavy portfolio operations, or a similar environment.
  • Experience coordinating across Finance, Legal, Operations, external advisors, and other stakeholders to gather inputs, close action items, and keep milestone-driven work on schedule.
  • Ability to interpret credit agreements, conditions-precedent requirements, reporting calendars, and related financing documentation and translate them into actionable team workplans.
  • Strong project management, organizational, written communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple facilities, deadlines, and dependencies with limited supervision.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities, increasing portfolio complexity, and new financing structures.
  • Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and passion for solving the climate crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for funding milestones, coordinating with Capital Markets, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, investors, and counsel; keep fundings on schedule and escalate material risks with recommendations.
  • Design, maintain, and improve funding checklists, readiness trackers, documentation packages, and reporting support materials to meet investor, internal-control, and audit standards.
  • Establish quality standards for trackers, data rooms, document packages, and reporting workflows, including naming conventions, status definitions, completeness checks, version control, and ownership.
  • Run recurring team check-ins, working sessions, and cross-functional governance forums to remove blockers, align on funding cadence and dependencies, and stay ahead of deadlines.
  • Coordinate operational tracking of financing-related certifications and compliance support items, including prevailing wage, domestic content, and other IRA/ITC-related documentation where required.
