About The Position

Manages the therapy department's daily operations at the assigned community hospital site and all the staff members to ensure safe and quality patient care is provided to all populations served. Facilitates program development and growth and provides therapy services per area of licensure.

Requirements

• Speech-Language Pathologist: Must hold at a minimum a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Physical Therapist: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, with a physical therapy degree as follows: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, if graduated prior 1/1/2016; Doctorate of Physical Therapy required, if graduated after 1/1/2016; International Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Occupational Therapist: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy, with an Occupational Therapy degree as follows: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree if graduated before 1/1/2002; Master's degree required if graduated after 1/1/2002; International Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must hold or be eligible to receive a Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist/Speech Language Pathologist license in the State where services will be provided.
• State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• SLPs must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Must be certified in CPR or must become certified within the first 90 days of employment.
• Must maintain all certifications and licenses according to the expiration date.
• If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver's license is required.
• If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver's license.
• Must have a minimum of three years experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared lifting.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree preferred.
• A Master's degree is preferred (for Occupational Therapist).
• APTA/AOTA/ASHA membership preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
