About The Position

Teach For America (TFA) is seeking a dynamic Recruitment Manager to help drive the movement for educational opportunity by attracting top leaders to join the TFA corps. This role is crucial in addressing long standing educational challenges in the country by engaging top leaders who are committed to teaching and leading change. As a Recruitment Manager, Internal (RMI), you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact strategies that attract and engage top-tier candidates, connecting with talent pools, and inspiring a broad network of advocates to build a high-caliber corps. As a Recruitment Manager, Internal, on the Emerging Campus and Professional Recruitment Team (ECP) you will execute strategic plans for your campaigns, identify and connect with diverse top prospects to pursue TFA, and inspire a broad network of constituents to build a large, diverse, and talented corps. Collaborating closely with Recruitment Managers, External (RME), you will lead innovative strategies for high volume applicant management, lead generation, and outreach across undergraduate and professional pools. You will analyze data, build pipelines, and execute on other innovative strategies to accelerate field recruitment outcomes. You will contribute to the broader vision for ECP connect, create outreach systems, develop resources, and operationalize campaigns for ECP pipeline prioritization and execution within professional and emerging markets. The ideal candidate loves to collaborate with others. They have exceptional writing, communication and organizational skills. They demonstrate excitement around building and executing a long-term strategy for both college senior and professional markets. They demonstrate strong adaptability and can modify their approach to fit different settings and ensure their messages and strategies are tailored to audience and markets. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience
  • At least 6 months of recruitment sourcing or inside sales experience
  • A strong candidate; Demonstrates strengths in operating, planning, and execution, and gets energy from the design of key recruitment strategies (ex. virtual event invitations and follow ups, engaging Activate Fellows, leveraging partnerships, Handshake/LinkedIn sends) to draw prospects towards Teach For America.
  • Thrives in behind-the-scenes strategy development, creating tailored, targeted engagements and actions that align with campaign objectives and drive results.
  • Exhibits exceptional attention to detail while efficiently managing high volumes of work and balancing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Committed to continuous growth and improvement. Actively reflects on successes and challenges, seeks constructive feedback, integrates it quickly to enhance performance, and takes ownership of personal development by requesting the necessary resources to succeed.

Nice To Haves

  • Teach For America alumni and/or experience working in low-income schools strongly preferred
  • ECP experience is strongly preferred, especially in terms of understanding the ECP market contexts, generating leads via Handshake and LinkedIn, high volume registrant and applicant management systems, and hybrid campaign tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Set campaign vision and direction (15%) Contribute to the vision for ECP connect, create outreach systems, develop resources, and operationalize campaigns for ECP pipeline prioritization and execution within professional and emerging markets Help inform team strategy to achieve recruitment goals for emerging and professional markets. Identify campaign levers to explore due to their potential for significant impact (e.g. partnering more closely with the Career Services Office)
  • Build relationships and networks (15%) Navigate within an agile team structure, making decisive choices to drive results and influencing peers across various teams to maximize collective impact Communicate across multiple channels to engage different audiences, delivering compelling, customized messages that resonate with their motivations and interests, and inspiring action toward the TFA mission. Build and nurture relationships with potential network partners and external stakeholders, expanding their understanding of Teach For America’s mission and strengthening their commitment to educational opportunity.
  • Execute campaign outreach (40%) Source and connect leaders with Teach For America by identifying strong prospects and tailoring outreach through multiple channels to match their values and potential fit with the organization’s mission. Engage in regular data analysis to make prioritization decisions and adjustments for emerging and professional segments. Leverage routine analysis of interview invited and pass thru rates of the market segments to adjust connect prioritization and support applicant conversion and interview completion-rates for met and unmet pipelines. Design and execute Handshake and LinkedIn campaigns in partnership with regional teams to generate leads for regions and prioritized universities. Execute consistent follow up from REMI leads nurture and sourcing/prioritization from new leads generated. Steward unmet competitive pipeline/not prioritized pipeline throughout recruitment funnel via touch points, resources, activate fellows, and virtual events. Plan, promote and execute recruitment events and initiatives, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and driving tangible progress in recruitment efforts. Conduct pipeline quality and volume checks cross recruiter campaigns smoothing of pipelines/comb ups as needed.
  • Make data-driven decisions (20%) Collaborate across teams to design, implement, and refine strategies, using data-driven tools to uncover gaps, patterns, and opportunities within campaigns. Develop targeted solutions to optimize outcomes and accelerate progress toward goals. Conduct routine analysis of progress to goals and outcomes for connect campaigns including leads acquisition, reg/app management, and applicant stewardship once invited to interview Assess the viability of talent pipelines and making adjustments as needed to ensure smooth flow of a competitive group of candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Lead across the movement (10%) Actively participate in all organizational commitments, including selection, confirmation, RT-wide events, and team meetings to foster a sense of community and shared purpose. Stay deeply informed about the educational landscape of partner regions, including local news, regional happenings, and community needs, using this context to guide meaningful conversations with prospects and stakeholders. Adapt to the changing needs of the team, region, or organization, supporting various initiatives as needed Responsibly steward available resources through consistent compliance with all employee policies and expectations
