About The Position

This role is for the Manager of the Reactor Vessel Internals Replacement Engineering group within the Reactor Component Engineering department at Westinghouse. The manager will lead the engineering team responsible for the design and analysis of major reactor vessels. This includes providing support for operating plants through outage support and modifications, as well as new plant designs. The position is located at the global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, and is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Materials, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience
  • Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions
  • Leadership competency and existing experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring
  • Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource management across all supporting departments for multiple projects
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and industry standards
  • Mentor team members to enhance overall team capability and technical proficiency
  • Provide management-level technical oversight for reactor vessel analysis, closure analyses, long-term operations, and uprates
  • Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and a safety and quality culture
  • Coordinate emergent response to customer issues for your responsibilities
