About The Position

The Manager, QA leads food safety and quality assurance efforts across warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. This role partners with operational teams to maintain product integrity and uphold food safety and quality standards. The position leads food safety and quality programs, manages audits and investigations, and develops quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives. It also trains and mentors employees, monitors facility hold, USDA, and daily cycle count programs, collaborates with multiple teams, and ensures adherence to the budget and team strategy. Other essential duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in warehousing or logistics.
Associate's degree or equivalent additional experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to clearly convey information in writing and verbally to team members and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience in food manufacturing or food distribution.
GFSI certification, preferably SQF.
Knowledge of HACCP principles.
Internal auditing experience or ASQ certifications.

Responsibilities

Lead and maintain food safety and quality programs.
Manage internal, customer, and third-party audits and maintain continuous audit readiness.
Oversee investigations of quality issues, customer complaints, and food safety incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop, monitor, and report quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and quality standards across operations.
Train and mentor employees on food safety, quality standards, and best practices.
Ensure adherence to the budget and present team strategy within the organization.
Administer and monitor facility hold, USDA, and daily cycle count programs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams.
Perform other essential duties as applicable and assigned.
