Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Manager Public Relations 2 to lead our program communicator team. Reporting to the director of Strategic Communications, this role is responsible for leading our Program Execution Homeroom, prioritizing workload and development and mentoring of the team, and supporting the strategy and execution of external-facing communications. This position may be based in Melbourne, Florida; Palmdale, California; or El Segundo, California. Requirements

  • Experienced in developing and executing strategic communications plans to achieve business objectives and advance thought leadership

  • Able to digest complex concepts and communicate them in simple, effective and compelling ways
  • Experience supporting restricted efforts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience managing and leading external-facing communications projects, channels or campaigns -OR- Master Degree in communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing and leading external-facing communications projects, channels or campaigns.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a program communicator, developing and deploying external-facing strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • Preparing and sharing metrics on communications efforts and leveraging those results to evolve strategies and approaches to achieve business objectives
