The ministry also invests in community-based groups that support prevention and early intervention services such as Family Resource Networks, youth emergency shelters as well as programs that raise awareness and help respond to family violence, sexual violence, and abuse. Reporting to the Director, the Manager, Provincial Campus Based Care provides leadership and oversight for the Sifton Provincial Campus Based Care (PCBC) program. This position is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services that support youth in achieving safe and successful transitions to community-based living and other caregiving arrangements. The Manager provides direct supervision to the Program Supervisor and specialized program staff at Sifton Provincial Campus Based Care, as well as leadership support to staff across the province. The role is responsible for coordinating internal and external operational activities at the site while fostering collaboration among Provincial Campus Based Care programs throughout Alberta. Sifton Provincial Campus Based Care provides a trauma-informed campus-based environment focused on the assessment and care of youth. The program supports youth through individualized care planning with the goal of promoting safe transitions to alternative caregiving arrangements and successful reintegration into the community. The Manager ensures services are delivered in accordance with accreditation standards while meeting the unique strengths and needs of each youth served. The Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing effective monitoring practices to ensure financial, administrative, and operational activities comply with relevant legislation, budget allocations, and provincial policies and procedures. This role maintains strong working relationships with Centre staff, clinicians, provincial colleagues, and external stakeholders to support the development and delivery of services aligned with youth care plans. As the leader of a dedicated team of professionals, the Manager plays a key role in advancing innovative and holistic approaches to youth care within a campus-based setting. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture where staff are supported to grow, contribute, and deliver exceptional services. As the ideal candidate, you are a people-centered leader who builds trust, develops talent, and inspires high performance. You are skilled at coaching and mentoring staff, navigating complex situations, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external partners. You will use your critical thinking skills daily to navigate operational issues that arise. The ability to respond quickly and efficiently to requests from the larger Ministry as well as the public is a skill that will be crucial in this role. You will have understanding and knowledge in the areas of human resource and financial management, employee relations, child development theory, community development, and stakeholder engagement. As a Manager, you will draw upon your experience of working with diverse communities and be confident in employing a variety of different strategies to initiate, support and evaluate working relationships. You will also demonstrate anti-oppressive practices in your work with urban and rural Indigenous populations and will have the ability to combine Indigenous ways of knowing with standard western approaches to working with people. This position is based in Lethbridge, Alberta, and requires the ability to travel throughout the province.

Requirements

A university degree in a related field, such as child and youth care, social work psychology, sociology or other related human services education supplemented by four (4) years progressively responsible related leadership experience is required.
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
An understanding of, and experience in campus-based care, quality assurance systems development and environmental issues impacting the delivery of services to children, youth, and families including Indigenous models of intervention.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and skills to align a large diverse team into a specific purpose, development of collaborative networks with peers and other stakeholders and an understanding of government processes, legislation and environment are all considered to be an asset.
A valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
The ability to travel is required.
Successful applicants who possess a BSW, MSW or diploma in Social Work are required to register and maintain registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
