About The Position

The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking a Manager, Promotions & Experience to join their Fan Experience Department. This full-time role is responsible for supporting the premium experience, integrating promotional programs throughout the ballpark, and managing talent in event spaces. Additionally, the position will support the planning, development, and execution of the Jays Care Foundation’s fundraising events portfolio, contributing to an annual fundraising target exceeding $2.4 million.

Requirements

  • Completed University or College education in related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years event planning, fundraising, or partnership experience from public and/or not-for-profit sector
  • Experience managing complex events and multiple projects concurrently
  • Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and Toronto Blue Jays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Salesforce fundraising software an asset
  • Leadership abilities to manage and mentor team members
  • Polished written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with keen eye for attention to details
  • Creativity and willingness to share ideas
  • Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Team player with an ability to support the big picture goals of the organization while contributing to day-to-day execution
  • Availability for all Blue Jays home games

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and game-day execution of promotions, theme days, and fan activations to deliver a seamless, high-quality in-game and ballpark experience.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with internal teams (Game Entertainment, Communications, Production, Retail, etc.) and external vendors to execute promotional initiatives on time and on brand.
  • Oversee operational planning for assigned promotional games and theme days, including timelines, logistics, inventory, run-of-show inputs, and post-event recaps.
  • Manage vendor sourcing and logistics, including budgets, quotes, production timelines, on-site execution, and invoice processing.
  • Support in managing all live entertainment programming throughout the Outfield District and Premium Clubs and ensuring all performers align with the identify of each space, as well as any applicable promotions or theme days.
  • Support in the evaluation and elevation of the end-to-end guest experience across all areas of the ballpark, from the Outfield District to the Premium Clubs to ensure standards are upheld.
  • Alongside the Manager, Giveaways & Promotions Programming, support the execution of Jr. Jays Sundays, including game-day activations, entertainment elements, and kid-focused experiences.
  • Partner with Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience on the overall strategy and ongoing management of the Jr. Jays Club, with a focus on growing membership, increasing retention, and enhancing member value.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Jr. Jays Club, including digital engagement, event execution, program delivery, and member communications.
  • Play an active role in fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture, consistently prioritizing a best-in-class fan experience with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Jays Care Foundation fundraising events (including Golf Classic, Broadcast Auction, Behind The Plate, EmpowHER, Garage Sale, player-led and third-party events), with a focus on revenue growth, operational excellence, and a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience to translate strategic objectives into detailed event plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee all event operations, including project workbacks, logistics, production, auction strategy, run of show, and on-site execution.
  • Provide on-site leadership to drive seamless execution, manage stakeholders and hosts, and resolve real-time issues.
  • Ensure consistent execution quality across all events, aligning guest services, communications, ticketing, accommodations, and gifting with brand and service standards.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker across all event delivery domains including scope, budget, vendors, timelines, and risk, making informed decisions and trade-offs to balance cost, experience, and revenue outcomes, ensuring successful event delivery.
  • Escalate decisions to the Sr. Manager, Promotions & Experience when required, including those that impact revenue targets, budget, brand, reputation, or safety.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect event outcomes.
