About The Position

The GI Mod PMO Manager supports project and program management for the Global Indirect Sourcing & Procurement (IS&P) Modernization program. The GI Mod program is an effort to establish the IS&P Function within McDonald’s and implement “One McDonald’s Way” of how McDonald’s does Indirect Sourcing and Procurement across the globe. The GI Mod PMO Manager will be responsible for supporting key PMO processes, including development of the integrated project/work plan, managing program and project interdependencies, coordinating resources and key PMO meetings, tracking and reporting risks and issues and supporting weekly status reporting across all workstreams and adjacent programs. The GI Mod PMO Manager will report to the GI Mod PMO Senior Manager to administer and operate within different project management areas, specifically ensuring the tracking and completion of key project activities.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience required: Prior corporate and global project management experience required with 3+ years managing projects
  • Expertise in Technical Project Management process and tools, inclusive of JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet; Planview experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional, globally-dispersed teams with light direction
  • Strong experience developing executive-level presentations
  • Experience working with a 3rd party vendors / systems
  • Ability to form cooperative relationships across teams/functions alliances to achieve results
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and managing multiple key business priorities
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and solve complex problems
  • Strong, professional communication skills, with ability to engage with senior leaders using appropriate level of detail, terminology, and style

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification or equivalent experience highly preferred
  • Agile Certifications (e.g. PSM, CSM, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage project plans, roadmaps and execution to achieve project/program goals using various methods (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Execute necessary charters, templates, tools and associated PMO artifacts as appropriate
  • Manage project changes using appropriate verification protocols to keep project/program on track
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and KPIs to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to impacted stakeholders
  • Engage with key cross-workstream internal partners, ensuring a common understanding of expectations for the project and maintaining line of sight to dependencies required for success
  • Identify risks and implement approved mitigation actions and workarounds
  • Diagnose and solve project issues that arise, while identifying ways to improve current customer needs
  • Drive standardization of processes for implementing projects across program, in accordance with best practices
