Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressive project management experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience leading complex healthcare, operational readiness, clinical transformation, facility activation, or capital projects.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and senior leadership.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a values-driven or not-for-profit environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, patient care environments, and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, process improvement, and change management principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex healthcare projects and operational initiatives from initiation through implementation and sustainment.
  • Develop project charters, work plans, budgets and risk registers.
  • Supports operational readiness planning, infrastructure design, facility activations and move planning.
  • Coordinate process development, workflow redesign, testing activities, simulations, and implementation planning.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinical leaders, physicians, operational teams, vendors, and community partners.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues and strategies.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project expenditures and support procurement and contract coordination as required.
