About The Position

The Manager, Project Management - Digital Enablement owns a portfolio of General Merchandise Asset projects from discovery through testing, deployment, and support. This role coordinates across business, technical, procurement, and vendor teams to translate business needs into clear project requirements, manage schedules, risks, budgets, and dependencies, and keep projects moving. The manager should be comfortable learning enough about IoT, sensors, integrations, and related technologies to work effectively with technical partners ensuring projects meet business needs. They will also help build and improve new processes, challenge existing approaches when appropriate, and operate effectively in a fast-changing, growing environment. Our team transforms Walmart’s physical assets into connected, measurable resources by leveraging sensors, OEM integrations, computer vision, and advanced technologies. We gather essential data through platforms like IoT and Crystal to enhance asset visibility, enabling early issue detection, reduced downtime, and lower repair costs. This approach improves safety, compliance, and decision-making regarding equipment management. Our work lays the groundwork for more automated and predictive facility operations, shifting from reactive to proactive maintenance. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation across Walmart’s facilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing multiple medium-scale projects or work streams with strong project planning and schedule management skills.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, including building and maintaining relationships and effectively communicating project goals and status updates.
• Ability to develop and execute communication plans that align with project objectives and minimize impact of changes.
• Strong skills in scope management, procurement, and budget monitoring to ensure project milestones and goals are met.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing associates, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Excellent presentation and effective communication skills to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and delivering business value through project initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years’ experience in project management, business, operations, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in project management, business, operations, or related area.
• 1 year’s experience working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and objectives.

• Manage multiple projects or work streams by coordinating resources, monitoring budgets, and ensuring adherence to project methodologies.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues while minimizing impacts of changes on timelines and deliverables.
