Manager- Project Finance Compliance
About The Position
The Project Finance Group is responsible for ensuring that the Company complies with all covenants and conditions as outlined in the various agreements for NEER’s financing portfolio (e.g., project finance debt, tax equities and XPLR/NEP structures). This position requires strong project management skills coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the financing related agreements and their relationship to the key operating project documents (e.g., power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, energy management services, etc.). The successful candidate will add value through critical thinking, process management and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. In this managerial role, you will be leading a team to coordinate between NEER and Treasury to manage the resolution of defaults and breaches, implement and maintain an effective process to ensure all requirements under the build-out agreements are met, review drafts of new financing deals and significant transactions, and develop, deploy and maintain compliance related policies and procedures and tracking and reporting tools.

- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of experience

Responsibilities
- Coordinate between NEER and Treasury to manage the resolution of defaults and breaches in addition to issues requiring consents, waivers and amendments to existing financing agreements
- Implement and maintain an effective process to ensure all requirements under the build-out agreements are met on a timely basis
- Review drafts of new financing deals and significant transactions (e.g., buy-outs and refinancings) and provide comments to ensure reasonable covenants that are achievable and scalable
- Develop, deploy and maintain compliance related policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely distribution of all documents, certificates and reports as required by each project financing agreement
- Develop, deploy and maintain tracking and reporting tools to provide visibility to the status of compliance deliverables and resolution of issues
- Monitors and evaluates project progress and results
- Establishes policies, procedures and directives to support daily operations of the finance team
- Develops and monitors the execution of financial programs
- Monitors, maintains and reviews financial records
- Reviews and monitors contract program objectives and utilization of funds
- Recommends changes in resource allocation
- Assists in the preparation of department and contract budgets
- Develops expense projections
- Directs preparation of reports and other documentation
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements for transactions and reporting
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
