Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Manager 3. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL or Roy, Utah. The role involves developing and communicating an organizational vision, roadmap, and program structure for the SLCM-N Technology Maturation & Risk Reduction phase. The Program Manager will lead integrated program teams, allocate resources, manage workforce planning, and oversee suppliers to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives. This position requires serving as the primary customer liaison, cultivating relationships, capturing new opportunities, and representing Northrop Grumman in negotiations, program reviews, and senior-level presentations. Responsibilities include defining system architecture, requirements, verification, and specialty engineering, as well as establishing design concepts and engineering efforts for research, development, integration, and test. The role also entails establishing and managing program baselines, master plans, schedules, and Earned Value Management (EVM) cost-schedule controls. Identifying, tracking, and resolving program requirements, risks, and opportunities through formal risk-management and control-board processes is crucial. The Program Manager will measure and report program performance to Northrop Grumman leadership and the customer, ensuring adherence to contract scope and internal policies. Oversight of government-provided property, information, and special-access requirements, ensuring compliance with security clearances, is also a key function. Driving continuous improvement of processes, policies, and industry-standard practices across the program and delivering clear, compelling briefings and presentations to senior stakeholders, customers, and external partners are expected.
