Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' (NGMS) Capabilities Maturation and Deployment (CMAD) organization, operating within the Engineering Concepts Division (ECD), is offering a unique opportunity in program management as a Manager Programs 2 role. This role will be onsite in Rolling Meadows, IL. The CMAD organization is a rapidly evolving, fast paced team that offers unique opportunities to interact with many internal customer stakeholders in technical and programmatic sector leadership. The program portfolio is based in IRCC (Infrared Camera Core) building block devices; a fast growing, state of the art technology that is a key enabler for billions of sensor system business within the NGMS sector.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project/program management.
Demonstrated experience supporting programs within an engineering, manufacturing, production, and a global supply chain environment.
Demonstrated experience applying business and financial management principles to program cost, schedule, forecasting, budgeting, and or performance decisions.
Demonstrated experience supporting programs involving electro optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, products, or technologies.
Demonstrated experience supporting development and all technology maturation programs through program execution.
Demonstrate at experience, managing program, communications, and reporting across internal and or external stakeholders, including program status, cost, schedule, technical performance, risks, and issues.
Demonstrated experience, identifying, tracking, and resolving program risks, issues, and cross functional dependencies through documented program management processes.
Demonstrate at experience developing, monitoring, and or controlling program plans, cost baselines, and schedule baselines against contractual requirements.
US citizenship required.
A current/active U.S. government Secret clearance required to be considered.

Nice To Haves

A current/active U.S. government Top Secret (TS) or SCI clearance.
Experience with Infrared (IR) camera systems an/or related EO/IR hardware.
Experience serving as a cost the account manager(CAM), And or completion of cost account management training/certification.
Experience season enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems To support program, manufacturing, production, and or supply chain execution.
Experience applying agile methodology within a program, engineering, or product development environment.
Scrum master certification, training, and experience, supporting agile teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibility for successfully managing all technical, financial, and schedule aspects of assigned programs. Has P&L responsibility for these programs.
Works with technical stakeholders to define requirements and is the primary contact on status and performance.
Participates in business strategy sessions.
Leads a cross functional team of associates with a wide range of skill sets, ensuring roles and responsibilities of all team members are well understood and executed.
Provide overall leadership to program team and drive technical compliance.
Acts as customer interface for program activities.
Leads program review sessions with the customer to address cost, schedule and technical performance.
Develops and manages technical performance metrics on assigned projects.
Identifies and executes plans to mitigate program risks.
Ensures program-wide focus on safety, reliability, cost and schedule, and adequacy of systems, procedures, and people for long term success.
