About The Position

Teaching Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming teacher professional learning to improve student outcomes. They partner with teachers, school, district, and state leaders to create effective instructional systems. The Program department focuses on designing, delivering, and improving teacher professional learning programs to enhance instructional practice and drive student achievement. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of programmatic goals, high-quality coaching, and sustained impact on teacher and student learning. Success requires strong collaboration, organizational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to educational equity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Five (5) or more years combined experience working in K-5 education, with a minimum of two years experience teaching K-5 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds with demonstrated evidence of impact
Two (2) or more years combined experience working with partners outside of their organization to manage workflow or deliver services
Two (2) or more years of combined experience planning and implementing projects
Two (2) or more years combined experience leading or coaching the implementation of HQIM (in any subject area)
Deep knowledge and experience with College- and Career-Ready math or ELA content and practice standards
Experience designing impactful professional learning for educators
Experience facilitating impactful professional learning or coaching for educators
Experience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education context
Experience teaching or coaching at least one of the following curricula: Illustrative Math, Amplify Desmos Math
Strong commitment to growth mindset for both adults and students, with a desire to continuously strengthen instructional practices and team capabilities
Ability to design and deliver high-quality, evidence-based professional learning that advances teaching and learning outcomes
Compelling communication and facilitation skills that build engagement and influence across diverse educators and stakeholders
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, multiple priorities, and tight timelines in a fast-paced environment

Deep understanding of the specified curriculum, including its design and component parts
Experience providing professional learning support and services in and for consultative organizations

Responsibilities

Implement excellent programmatic services through coaching, facilitation of professional learning, and collaboration with school and district leaders.
Engage in coaching cycles, including observations, modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, and feedback.
Design and facilitate high-quality professional learning content and resources grounded in research-based instructional practices.
Maintain strong partner relationships, support contract renewals, and contribute to business development as needed.
Support Teaching Lab systems, tools, and processes for scaling partnerships, monitoring impact, and ensuring effective implementation.
Support program/project needs, which could mean holding multiple roles on project teams (i.e., Project Lead, Project Sponsor, Coach Developer, Client Partnership Manager, Instructional Designer, Subject Matter Expert, Coach/Facilitator, Project Management Support, or Analyst).
