Manager, Program (Early Childhood Coaching)
About The Position
Teaching Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming teacher professional learning to improve student outcomes. They partner with teachers, schools, districts, and states to create supportive instructional systems. The organization values collaboration, resilience, research, accountability, equity, and justice. This specific role focuses on implementing programmatic services through coaching, professional learning facilitation, and collaboration with school and district leaders. The Program Manager will engage in coaching cycles, design and facilitate professional learning, maintain partner relationships, and support organizational systems for scaling partnerships and monitoring impact. This is an individual contributor role essential for delivering high-quality coaching and professional learning to impact teacher and student learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) or more years combined experience working in PK-12 education, with a minimum of two years experience teaching PK-12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds with demonstrated evidence of impact
- Two (2) or more years combined experience working with partners outside of their organization to manage workflow or deliver services
- Two (2) or more years of combined experience planning and implementing projects
- Two (2) or more years combined experience leading or coaching the implementation of HQIM (in any subject area)
- Deep knowledge and experience with College- and Career-Ready math or ELA content and practice standards
- Experience designing impactful professional learning for educators
- Experience facilitating impactful professional learning or coaching for educators
- Experience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education context
- Experience teaching or coaching at least one of the following curricula: ELA (Amplify ELA, ARC (American Reading Company) Core, Benchmark Advance, Bluebonnet, Bookworms, CKLA, Developing Core Literacy Proficiencies, EL Education, EngageNY, Fundations, Guidebooks, Heggerty, HMH Into Reading, HMH Into Literature, McGraw Hill StudySync ELA, Odell, Orton Gillingham, Savvas, Skyline, Springboard, UFLI, Wilson, Wit and Wisdom)
- Strong commitment to growth mindset for both adults and students, with a desire to continuously strengthen instructional practices and team capabilities
- Ability to design and deliver high-quality, evidence-based professional learning that advances teaching and learning outcomes
- Compelling communication and facilitation skills that build engagement and influence across diverse educators and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects, multiple priorities, and tight timelines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
- Engaging in coaching cycles, including observations, modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, and feedback
- Designing and facilitating high-quality professional learning content and resources grounded in research-based instructional practices
- Maintaining strong partner relationships, supporting contract renewals, and contributing to business development as needed
- Supporting Teaching Lab systems, tools, and processes for scaling partnerships, monitoring impact, and ensuring effective implementation
