Augeo Affinity Marketing, Inc.Saint Paul, MN

About The Position

An Augeo Manager, Professional Services Engineering, is responsible for leading a team of software engineers that delivers custom, client-facing platform features and integrations across Augeo's B2B SaaS product suite. This is a dual-focus role: you'll spend roughly 40% of your time interfacing directly with clients -- gathering requirements, presenting technical approaches, managing expectations, and ensuring delivery satisfaction -- and 60% of your time leading your engineering team through sprint planning, architecture decisions, code quality oversight, mentorship, and hands-on technical guidance. Your team works across multiple technology stacks, including the Encore platform (.NET/C#/SQL Server) and the AWE platform (TypeScript/React/Node.js/AWS). You will need to be comfortable navigating both ecosystems and helping your engineers deliver high-quality solutions, regardless of the underlying technology.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills -- able to present complex technical concepts to non-technical client stakeholders while also providing deep technical guidance to engineering team members
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, ideally 3+ years in a management or technical lead role
  • Strong ability to context-switch between client-facing conversations and hands-on engineering leadership without sacrificing quality in either domain
  • Experience prioritizing initiatives based on client business needs, revenue impact, and organizational capacity
  • Familiarity with both the .NET/C# ecosystem (including ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server) and the TypeScript/React/Node.js ecosystem -- deep expertise in one with working knowledge of the other is acceptable
  • Experience with RESTful API design, integration patterns, and microservices architecture across client-facing platform implementations
  • AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools) with demonstrated experience applying them in professional delivery contexts
  • LLM API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, AWS Bedrock) and AI agent development for workflow automation
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2 Type II) in client-facing environments
  • Four-year college degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of direct client-facing experience in a professional services, consulting, or solutions engineering capacity
  • Senior-level experience within a technology team, including previous managerial experience leading software engineering teams
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Translate client business requirements into development plans, clearly communicating scope, timelines, trade-offs, and delivery milestones
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, proactively managing expectations and ensuring high levels of delivery satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to support pre-sales technical scoping, effort estimation, and solution architecture for prospective and existing client engagements
  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical decisions to both client and internal stakeholders through regular status updates, demos, and executive summaries
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers delivering client-facing features and integrations across the Encore (.NET/C#/SQL Server) and AWE (TypeScript/React/Node.js/AWS) platforms
  • Champion AI-enabled development practices across the team, ensuring adoption of approved AI coding tools and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive workflows through custom AI agents
  • Establish team standards and best practices for effective AI tool usage and prompt engineering in the context of client delivery work
  • Ensure compliance with Augeo's SOC 2 Type II program and other security requirements, particularly when handling client data and integrations
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment that balances client urgency with sustainable engineering practices
  • Embrace Augeo's CORE values -- Collaborative, Objective, Responsive and Earnest in all areas
