About The Position

Job Summary: Manages the strategic activities and vision of a high functioning area in terms of performance and productivity. Develops and implements improvements in production methods. Participates in budget preparation for production expenses and capital investment requests. Administers company policies in assigned department. Drives the development and implementation of improvements in production methods for increased efficiency. Contributes to budget preparation for production expenses and capital investment requests. Administers and enforces company policies within the assigned area. Monitors operations and trigger corrective actions Commits to plant safety procedures Stays up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts Requirements: Proven work experience as a plant manager, or equivelant Proven managerial experience Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes Computer literacy Ability to create accountability and to lead by example Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or related field OR 6 to 8 years experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or related area. Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the work day. Climbing Stooping Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting customers and project sites. Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a plant manager, or equivelant
