Manager Production Planning
About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting leadership in effectively leading and orchestrating the Tyson Fresh Meats Production Planning Team to achieve financial business and customer satisfaction objectives. Responsibilities include ensuring achievement of: optimized operational efficiencies through forecast accuracy and plant adherence; inventory targets; Order Fill and On Time delivery objectives; effective resolution regarding inventory and production issues. Other duties include: assists in the development and continued improvements of processes and procedures within area to enhance BU objectives and initiatives for increased revenue; assists in the development and training of other team members in the area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related to this position or equivalent field experience
- 5 plus years experience with industry experience in Planning Operations Sales preferred
- Experience in mathematical formulas and calculations to interpret financial or statistical information
- Experience in application of original and independent thinking in developing highly complex issues
- In-depth skills and thorough understanding of planning procedures and systems and how these interact with other areas
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to comprehend and assist planning processes through existing tools currently utilized in Planning area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Display effective and justifiable decision-making abilities
- Detail oriented
- Trustworthy and people oriented
