Manager Production Control
About The Position
The Manager Production Control upholds the master production schedule and supports the progress of production orders. This role manages material transactions from receiving to shipping and works closely with Logistics teams to ensure all shipments are managed effectively through internal controls and policies in accordance with customer expectations. The position ensures shipment compliance with company standards and policies, monitors and supports customer shipment requirements to improve customer satisfaction and service efficiency, and maintains inventory control, inventory levels, and execution of cycle counting and monthly and annual inventory. The Manager Production Control upholds logistics policies and agreements, including mode, carrier, and supplier agreements that benefit the overall business. This role contributes to the continuous improvement process by identifying areas of improvement. Additionally, the Manager Production Control leads, mentors, and manages a team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and collective success while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools (e.g., ERP/MRP systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five years of experience in supply chain, production control, or related field.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry required.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification a plus.
