About The Position

This position is fixed location based in South Carolina office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed one (1) day per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in product development.
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing, designing, validating, testing, and final release of electrical products.
  • Five (5) years of experience in product development involving high-accuracy analog circuits, digital design including signal integrity, and power management.
  • Five (5) years of experience in high-volume, low-cost designs with the highest standards for quality and reliability.
  • Five (5) years of experience with CAD tools including Cadence for circuit design, simulation and layout.
  • Five (5) years of experience ensuring that the design complies with regulatory certification requirements, including ANSI, FCC and UL.
  • Three (3) years of experience creating and maintaining development schedules.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing design specifications from customer requirements.
  • Three (3) years of experience communicating requirements effectively to the design teams.
  • Will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience in product development in lieu of Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide design team by fostering a collaborative and safe working environment.
  • Oversee projects from concept to solution delivery, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and industry standards.
  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems including Hardware, Firmware, and software solutions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of complex products.
  • Evaluate reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand technical requirements and provide technical direction to other team members.
  • Ensure effective execution of corporate objectives, including hiring, training, coaching and development of employees to maximize performance, promote career growth and build a high performing team.
  • Manage project budgets to ensure labor, outside services, and capital expenditure are met along with other financial and operational commitments.
  • Ensure support and maintenance of existing product portfolio.
