About The Position

DoorDash’s Legal Team is seeking a Product Compliance Manager to support compliance strategy and execution for its merchant capital program. This program assists small and medium businesses with sales, customer engagement, and operational growth. The role involves cross-functional partnerships and external collaboration with third-party partners to integrate compliance into the product lifecycle, ensuring regulatory adherence and business success. This is a new function within DoorDash, requiring a compliance professional who can bring both structure and creativity to complex challenges. The role involves staying current on regulatory changes, translating requirements into operational guidance, supporting audits and regulatory testing, developing policies and procedures, managing governance functions, assisting customer service with complaints, conducting compliance assessments, and identifying and remediating control gaps.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in the financial services industry, preferably fintech, with a focus on commercial and revenue-based financing.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to financial products, such as BSA/AML, Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and Regulation B, and state commercial finance disclosure laws.
  • Experience maintaining a fintech compliance program, bank partnerships and third party vendors.
  • Ability to work well with ambiguity and synthesize large amounts of complex information.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Exceptional judgment and integrity, ability to handle complex matters independently, and product-minded approach to compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and able to set priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Stay current on regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and industry best practices affecting business-facing financial products.
  • Translate legal and regulatory requirements into operational guidance and product specifications.
  • Support audits, bank partner requests, and regulatory testing related to the DoorDash merchant program.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to merchant lending regulatory compliance as well as card networks and bank partner requirements.
  • Develop and support governance functions such as testing, issue management, and compliance reviews.
  • Support customer service on complaints related to DoorDash Merchant workstreams, advise on resolution, including corrective action, where appropriate.
  • Conduct and/or manage compliance assessments and contribute to the design of scalable, risk-based controls.
  • Identify control gaps and support remediation plans in partnership with cross-functional teams.
