Position Summary The Manager of Process Improvement is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and overall quality of care across the hospital. This role partners with clinical and administrative leaders to identify improvement opportunities, implement evidence-based methodologies to target processes for improvement, and sustain measurable results that align with the Licking Memorial Hospital’s Mission, Vision, and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred), or commensurate minimum of 3–5 years of experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, or operations management.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate/Lead and manage process improvement projects across all hospital departments, including clinical, administrative, and support services.
  • Apply structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) to analyze workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and maximize effectiveness to drive patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with department leaders, physicians, and staff to identify performance gaps and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive change initiatives and ensure stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), quality metrics, and project outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff on process improvement tools and continuous improvement principles.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation and certification requirements, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee documentation, standardization, and sustainability of improved processes.
