The American Express Global Privacy Oversight team acts as trusted advisors on the American Express Data Protection & Privacy Principles. They focus on raising privacy awareness, ensuring compliance with internal privacy policies and regulatory expectations across the organization, and establishing privacy as a strategic differentiator for the American Express brand. As a second line of defense function, Global Privacy oversees, provides expertise in, and challenges the identification, management, and mitigation of privacy risks across the company in alignment with the privacy framework and the company’s vision to provide the world’s best customer experience every day. The Global Privacy Reporting team specifically conducts data analysis to identify privacy risk metrics, communicates targeted reporting, and influences risk management strategy.
