About The Position

This position is responsible for managing development and delivery of timely, actionable analytics and insights that are leveraged by the business to inform and execute critical business decisions such as commercial, gov’t, and managed care contracting, pricing, customer and product analytics, and compliance tracking. This position provides strategic and tactical guidance through analytical assessments and thoughtful execution. Essential Duties Manage the pricing and contract approvals for all Commercial customers, including Brands, Generics, and Federal Government. Using knowledge of customer base and contractual agreements within each, monitor pricing compliance requirements and specific terms/conditions related to rebates/fees to allow business to make informed decisions. Lead the Contracts Team members and provide training and direction as needed on various pricing/contract questions, processes, and prioritization requests required to maintain customer pricing contracts. Develop effective, efficient financial models for analyzing impacts of published pricing changes, customer product/pricing strategies, and breakeven analyses to allow the business to make timely decisions to maximize revenue/profit. Team with the business and IT/Sr. Business Analyst to drive further improvements on reporting tools, enhancements to Revenue Management system, and other continuous improvement efforts. Partner with Finance team and Leadership to validate and manage claims and payments process in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management partners on product opportunities to ensure continuity of supply and provide volume impacts due to award changes necessary for demand forecasting. Create and maintain reporting requirements related to pricing and award changes necessary for leadership and forecasting. Execute new product launch bidding per commercial strategy specific to each product. Partner with legal and sales team when customer master service agreements are required to be reviewed/renewed to negotiate new terms & conditions. Lead pricing and contract related integration activities as required including new customer contract setup and pricing related condition records within the SAP system. Maintain ownership over customer pricing agreements to maintain documentation requirements by internal and external audit teams which includes creation and signature process. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance or comparable field.
  • At least 10 years of previous forecasting and/or analytics experience in partnering with internal customers to understand their point of view; provide insight and value and multiple options for achieving objectives.
  • Previous management experience: leading a team in a highly dynamic environment required.
  • Pricing & Contracts experience within the pharmaceutical or comparable life sciences industry strongly preferred.
  • Effectively manage customer expectations and seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Previous experience working in a shared services environment strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience and demonstrated aptitude with SAP and business/forecasting software programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStrategy or other BI tool (e.g., Cognos, Business Objects), MS Access and other applications necessary to complete job tasks.
