About The Position

Scout Motors is looking to hire a Manager, Pre-Series Logistics to establish and manage operations related to the pre-Series Logistics Team and pre-series Warehouses in Assembly and Bodyshop. This role is responsible for managing the supply of pre-series parts to the production line, establishing and managing the pre-Series Logistics warehouse Team, and ensuring hiring according to project milestones. The position will also evaluate the impact on space requirements and personnel of new model’s introduction and model changes, ensuring resources as required. Additionally, the role ensures the operation of logistical equipment, including the organization and implementation of emergency concepts, maintenance concepts, and reparation concepts in the pre-series warehouse. Safety of operations, taking into account ecological aspects, is a key responsibility. The Manager will execute and implement the problem-solving process to prevent production stops due to logistical failures and ensure adherence to IATF/ VDA Standards, being responsible for Audit preparation within the business area. Support for process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, and coordinating problem-solving activities in case of deviations from defined targets are also part of the role. The Manager will analyze and authorize the department budget, assure its fulfillment, and develop countermeasures to compensate for deviations by optimizing or reassigning technical and human resources.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience building and managing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields. Masters degree is a plus. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in Launch Management
  • Strong understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems. Proven experience in SAP WMS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in managing operational teams and external logistic providers
  • Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (IATF, ISO, VDA, etc …) and related process requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects

  • Masters degree is a plus.
