Pew's Government Performance team aims to foresee and mitigate systemic challenges, fill information gaps with data and research, hold leaders accountable, and minimize missed opportunities. The Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Initiative (SUPTI) specifically works to develop and support policies that increase the initiation of medications for opioid use disorder. SUPTI provides technical assistance to states, conducts advocacy in Washington D.C., and publishes research on evidence-based practices. The team comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds in policy, advocacy, and research.
