About The Position

The Manager Plant Quality is responsible for developing, leading, and maintaining training initiatives through mentoring and coaching of best practices. This role involves managing all resource demands, ensuring proper allocation with capable, skilled individuals. The position ensures plant quality standards are adequate for controlling incoming material, standardized manufacturing processes, and quality. The Manager Plant Quality leads efforts in optimizing Operational quality performance KPIs and associated scorecard metrics, establishes and maintains exceptional customer-facing relationships, and evaluates, approves, and/or provides expertise for problem-solving, internal/external audit preparation, and disposition of non-conforming materials. This role drives the quality system management process (YF iOS), administers Quality metric reviews for plant management, drives Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiatives, leads quality-driven project management initiatives, and reviews/approves new process changes. Additionally, the role requires understanding and meeting all function-related Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, Compliance, and IT/Information Security requirements. The position demands the ability to multitask, communicate professionally, and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

  • 5-9 Years of experience in quality management and customer interaction.
  • 5-9 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Quality, Engineering, Technical or other related business degree.
  • Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt or Black Belt training/certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of external quality standards (e.g., VDA, IATF, ISO, customer) and requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge/training in core Quality Tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.) and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant quality standards are adequate in controlling incoming material, standardized manufacturing processes, and quality.
  • Lead efforts in optimizing Operational quality performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and associated scorecard metrics.
  • Establish and maintain exceptional customer facing relationships, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Evaluate, approve and/or provide expertise for problem solving (e.g., root cause and robust permanent corrective actions), internal/external audit preparation, etc.
  • Responsible for disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Drives quality system management process (YF iOS).
  • Administers Quality metric reviews for plant management.
  • Drives Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiatives.
  • Leads quality-driven project management initiatives.
  • Review/approve new process changes.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned.

  • Comprehend/meet all functional-related EHS requirements.
  • Comprehend/meet all functional-related Product Safety requirements.
