About The Position

This role is a People Leader position within the Quality department. The Manager Plant Quality is responsible for developing, leading, and maintaining training initiatives through mentoring and coaching of best practices, and managing all resource demands to ensure proper allocation with capable, skilled individuals. The position ensures plant quality standards are adequate for controlling incoming material, standardized manufacturing processes, and overall quality. This role leads efforts in optimizing Operational quality performance KPIs and associated scorecard metrics, establishes and maintains exceptional customer-facing relationships for excellent customer satisfaction and loyalty, and evaluates, approves, and provides expertise for problem-solving, internal/external audit preparation, and disposition of non-conforming materials. The Manager Plant Quality also drives the quality system management process (YF iOS), administers Quality metric reviews for plant management, drives Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiatives, leads quality-driven project management initiatives, and reviews/approves new process changes. The role requires understanding and meeting all function-related Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, Compliance, and IT/Information Security requirements, as well as adhering to all company policies and procedures. The ability to multitask, communicate professionally with customers and suppliers, work cooperatively with employees at all levels, and maintain regular attendance is essential.

Requirements

  • 5-9 Years of experience in quality management and customer interaction.
  • 5-9 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
  • Ability to multitask, communicate professionally with customers, and suppliers, while working cooperatively with employees at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt or Black Belt training/certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of external quality standards (e.g., VDA, IATF, ISO, customer) and requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge/training in core Quality Tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.) and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain exceptional customer facing relationships, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Evaluate, approve and/or provide expertise for problem solving (e.g., root cause and robust permanent corrective actions), internal/external audit preparation, etc.
  • Responsible for disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Drives quality system management process (YF iOS).
  • Administers Quality metric reviews for plant management.
  • Drives Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiatives.
  • Leads quality-driven project management initiatives.
  • Review/approve new process changes.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
  • Comprehend/meet all functional-related EHS requirements.
  • Comprehend/meet all functional-related Product Safety requirements.
  • Comprehend/meet all functional-related all function-related Compliance requirements.
  • Understand, Comprehend/meet all functional-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
