The Plant Operations Manager supports and coordinates with the team contributing to the production and repackaging of compressed and liquid gases cylinders, addressing and resolving unsafe acts or conditions promptly and thoughtfully, and collaborating on task distribution according to customer needs, current stock levels, and the unique strengths of our team. The Plant Operations Manager is guiding and supporting the activities of team members contributing to the producing and repackaging of compressed and liquid gases cylinders, addressing unsafe acts or conditions promptly, and collaborating on job tasks with team members according to customer needs, current stock levels and the unique strengths of our team. Operates and safely maintains the plant for pumping or repackaging of gases into cylinders while supporting the achievement of compliance with all federal, state, local and company policies, procedures, regulations and laws. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance. Studies production schedules and plans team capacity for completion of job assignments. Collaborates on and/or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Introduces and champions measures to advance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Refines working conditions and use of equipment to support the efficiency of the team. Supports the achievement of safety rules, consistently prioritizing safety training and seeing that it is regularly scheduled, conducted and documented. Shares company policies with the team and promotes safety regulations to protect our people. Supports the achievement of proper investigation and reporting for all injuries and accidents within 24 hours. Nurtures alignment and collaborates with team members in solving work-related problems. Recommends and/or initiates career journey adjustments, such as promotions, transfers, and performance harmony measures. Supports the achievement of effective handling for associate issues, grievances, etc. Supports and partners with supervisors to provide guidance and leadership. Initiates and/or suggests plans to inspire the team to contribute to our shared journey. Provides coaching and supportive feedback promptly, to ensure that individuals needing additional support are identified, documented, and empowered to reach acceptable performance, or guided toward new opportunities. Supports new team members and cross-trains associates to continue production during personnel shortages. Maintains time and production records and approves overtime when essential, while keeping overtime at sustainable levels. Additional duties and projects as may be assigned.
