About The Position

Responsible for the daily operations of the physician practice to include the provision of quality services to patients, the promotion of teamwork among the staff, maintenance of the building and equipment, compliance with all applicable policies and procedures and operating within the approved budget. The Manager Physician Practice I will coordinate and direct the daily operations of the practice, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of department policies and procedures. They will interpret, implement, and educate employees on all practice policies and procedures, as well as hospital policies and procedures. This role involves identifying problems and needs through daily rounds and recommending operational changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Maintaining medical records that are legible, accurate, accessible, and confidential is crucial. The Manager will establish and maintain appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of employees, facilities, and equipment. They will monitor staffing levels in relationship to workload and make adjustments as appropriate, and ensure that problems, complaints, and regulatory violations are investigated and appropriate action is taken to resolve the issue within the requested time frame. This position is a member of the management staff with direct reports and may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, and performance appraisal responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Two (2) years at a lead/coordinator level in billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records.
  • Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related.
  • One (1) year management level preferred.
