About The Position

The Manager, Philanthropy Communications is part of The Wonderful Company's Corporate Communications group. This position is responsible for conceiving and managing external and internal communication strategies that support the company's philanthropy and corporate social responsibility initiatives, investments, and programs globally. The role involves collaborating with the philanthropy team, other members of Corporate Communications, and various departments across the enterprise. The position is based in the West Los Angeles, CA office and follows a hybrid schedule (in-office Monday-Wednesday, remote Thursday-Friday), with up to 20% travel required for day trips to California's Central Valley.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in communications and/or public relations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated usage of AP style and standard PR tools (Cision, SignalAI, PR Newswire).
• Ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations.
• Familiarity with editing and content tools including Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator).
• High level of discretion when handling confidential material.
• Social media experience developing engaging and compelling content for online platforms including, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
• Highly organized with attention to detail, capable of handling multiple tasks and multiple stakeholders simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to travel to the Central Valley as needed, up to 20% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree required in communications, Journalism, public relations, English, or related business field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a non-profit setting or philanthropic organization is strongly preferred.
• Resourcefulness, creativity, work ethic and a desire to work in the area of philanthropy.
• Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategic communications plans to promote and increase visibility of The Wonderful Company and Resnick’s philanthropy globally.
• Liaise with and support Wonderful’s Philanthropy team on communicating key initiatives enterprise-wide and driving internal awareness (e.g., Wonderful Neighbor, Wonderful Giving).
• Produce press releases, remarks, presentations, talking points, briefing documents, creative materials, and other written corporate communication assets.
• Manage content development and visitor traffic for Wonderful’s philanthropy website (csr.wonderful.com) and the CSR Field Guide.
• Identify strategic earned media placements in top-tier media outlets and emerging platforms.
• Seek opportunities for Wonderful executives and representatives to appear at conferences, panels, and other forums to promote philanthropic and CSR strategies and achievements.
• Coordinate event planning and logistics for major philanthropic gift announcements with partner organizations.
• Partner with the Fiji-based Manager, Philanthropy Communications and Public Relations for FIJI Water Foundation to develop communication assets for the Foundation’s initiatives in Fiji.
• Partner with the Wines Community Relations team and Wonderful México Filantropía team to develop communication assets for TWC social, CSR website, and other materials promoting philanthropic initiatives in the U.S. and abroad.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with philanthropy, events, proofreading, and legal teams to ensure stakeholder communications align with the company's mission and values.
