About The Position

Manager Pharmacy Specialty (US) Location : 3033 W President George Bush Hwy , Ste 100 , Plano, TX , 75075 Shift: Full time Onsite: This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. The Manager Pharmacy Specialty (US) will be responsible for oversight of the daily duties and responsibilities for the provision of specialty pharmacy services and management of key specialty pharmacy accounts for organization.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in Pharmacy or a PharmD and minimum of 3 years of related pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Must possess an active, valid, current unrestricted pharmacy license (RPH) for applicable state or territory of the United States.
  • For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Trains and manager performance of pharmacist and pharmacy technician staff in the provision of specialty pharmacy services as it relates to patient services, physician account management and clinical expertise.
  • Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations.
  • Provides leadership in the ongoing management of patients throughout intake, care provision and distribution of drugs and supplies.
  • Leads in-service and participates in professional conferences as the opportunity arises.
  • Assists in the design, development and execution of clinical outcomes and accreditation programs.
  • Identifies opportunities and weaknesses, collaboratively designs, and deploys effective solutions.
  • Answers and initiates phone calls related to providing pharmaceutical care; documents all activities comprehensively and appropriately.
  • Performs dispensing, delivery and inventory duties as needed; fulfills the duties of the patient care coordinator/pharmacy technician when required.
  • Support billing and revenue cycle through timely management of back-end billing and front-end verification and authorization.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
