About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with demonstrated leadership and management skills to direct, plan, implement and evaluate patient care programs for the perioperative patient population. This role involves leading daily operations and coordination of patient care services focusing on anesthesia services. The Manager will direct and evaluate the department’s workforce in terms of overall staffing and scheduling, adjusting to changes in care requirements, patient census and staffing resources. Additionally, the role includes preparing and/or participating in the preparation of operating budgets and establishing quality improvement efforts to support the delivery of patient and family-focused care. This position is 100% FTE, Monday – Friday with weekend on-call rotation, and hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. The role is located at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience and progressive nursing leadership experience with demonstrated success.
  • Wisconsin RN license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience and progressive nursing leadership experience with demonstrated success.
  • Prior surgical services experience and/or experience working in an academic medical center or complex healthcare system.
