Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in pension administration or an equivalent role within Human Resources.
  • Working knowledge of pension legislation and pension administration for defined benefit, defined contribution and group savings plans.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, understandable terms.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrating reliability, responsiveness, and a commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience collaborating with actuaries, legal counsel, and external pension consultants.
  • Experience working with a large, complex, and/or unionized environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

  • Primary consultant for complex, non-standard member cases related to all pension and savings programs.
  • Manage annual audit, annual filing activities and recurring administrative activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners as well as analyst to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead or co-lead cross-functional special projects related to pensions and savings from conception to completion, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope.
  • Appropriately engage key internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and critical input on pensions and savings to support pensions and savings plans administration.
