About The Position

Last Mile Health (LMH) saves lives in the world's most remote communities with the vision of a health worker within reach of everyone, everywhere. LMH partners with governments to recruit, train, equip, and integrate professional community health workers into national health systems. Founded in Liberia in 2007, LMH now operates programs in Ethiopia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Malawi, with global offices in Accra, Ghana and the United States. The Partnerships and Communications team builds strong, values-driven relationships with donors, cultivating connections with individuals, foundations, and corporations to ensure the organization has the resources to support its programmatic activities and advance its mission. This team manages the entire journey of a partnership, from research and proposal writing to final reporting, working closely with finance, MERL, and country programs to translate complex program data into meaningful updates for supporters. This role is for a Manager, Partnerships & Development who is experienced in project management and in developing and implementing systems for tailored cultivation strategies for each donor relationship. The Manager will manage projects and deliverables supporting LMH’s fundraising, donor engagement, and stewardship goals. Key responsibilities include leading critical fundraising processes such as funder prospect research, donor meeting preparation, concept note and proposal development, due diligence, and other donor-facing deliverables. The role also involves supporting donor visits, events, conferences, and other engagement opportunities. The Manager will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Partnerships & Communications team, LMH’s senior leadership, and programmatic teams, acting as a trusted partner to organizational leaders in preparing for and navigating engagement with current and prospective funding partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, comfortable working across teams, and engaging senior leaders, bringing strong judgment to prospect and opportunity vetting, developing recommendations for prioritizing funding opportunities and cultivation strategies, and independently managing multiple workstreams. This role is remote and open to candidates located in the Eastern Seaboard of the United States with US work authorization.
