Manager, Packaging - Cartons
About The Position
This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies for $250MM of Cartons packaging. It involves market and supply base analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing activity facilitation, analysis, negotiations, contracting, and implementation. The position also supports departmental sourcing processes by providing spend and market analysis for other categories within the department and benchmarks relevant market data for continuous improvement. The Manager will act as a key stakeholder representing packaging procurement’s position to the business. Additionally, the role engages in productivity, cash flow, and innovation projects for assigned categories, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership. It also involves supplier integration and relationship management (SRM) with key preferred and integrated suppliers, potentially including E2E opportunity assessment and project work in innovation, process improvement, or cash flow. The role includes oversight of transactional category activities such as project entry into 4Site, preparing Bid Waiver and Bid Record documents, and managing sourcing approvals, specifications, and pricing. Financial planning and analysis for respective category areas, including market forecasts and financial plans, are also key responsibilities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in Procurement and/or general supply chain within a large matrixed organization, CPG preferred.
- Must have experience in strategic sourcing, negotiating, and contracting.

Responsibilities
- Develops sourcing strategies for $250MM of Cartons packaging to include overall market, industry and supply base analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing activity facilitation, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation.
- Provides spend and market analysis for additional departmental categories outside of individual scope but within department scope.
- Benchmarks relevant market data to ensure continuous process improvement.
- Acts as a key stakeholder to the business, while representing packaging procurement’s position.
- Engages in productivity, cash flow and innovation projects for assigned categories that may be driven by procurement, the Business Unit or another functional area with a focus on overall Total Cost of Ownership.
- Works closely with key preferred and integrated suppliers for respective category areas.
- Manages transactional activities for identified categories to include entry and management of projects into 4Site, preparing Bid Waiver, and Bid Record documents to obtain sourcing approvals, specifications, and pricing.
- Prepares market forecasts and financial plans for respective category areas.
