About The Position

The Manager - Operations & Quality Support position will provide support to VPC Operations currently operating at the West Point VPC, Montgomery VPC, Savannah VPC, Lucid VPC, and any additional VPC operations that may be acquired by Glovis in the future. They will ensure alignment of operational execution with company objectives, customer expectations, and contractual requirements. They will also serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership, site management, and customers to drive performance, consistency, and continuous improvement across all VPC locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other database management systems Required
  • 7 - 10 direct years of experience in Finished Vehicle Logistics and/or Automotive Manufacturing Required
  • 4 - 7 supervisory years of experience Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive logistics & 3PL functions Preferred
  • 8 - 13 direct years of experience in Finished Vehicle Logistics and/or Automotive Manufacturing Preferred
  • 7- 10+ supervisory years of experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational activities at all VPC locations on a daily basis, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer requirements
  • Track and report progress towards daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational targets across all sites
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to: Operational Efficiency, Financial Performance and Cost Control, Safety and Compliance, Technology Utilization and System Performance
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and drive corrective actions as needed
  • Routinely visit each VPC site to provide direct support to local management teams
  • Ensure standardization of processes and best practices
  • Address operational challenges and escalation items
  • Collaborate with site leadership to optimize staffing, throughput, quality, and inventory management
  • Meet with customer plant liaisons and key stakeholders as required to ensure alignment on expectations, performance, and issue resolution
  • Prepare and deliver regular updates, reports, and presentations to: Senior management with Glovis, External customers and partners
  • Support the successful launch of new programs, processes, and operational initiatives across VPC locations
  • Assist in the preparation and response to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for new business opportunities
  • Participate in contract negotiations with customers and vendors, providing operational insight and cost considerations
  • Support contract reviews to ensure operational feasibility, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Assist with asset management activities, including tracking, utilization, and lifecycle planning of equipment and infrastructure
  • Coordinate and support facilities maintenance initiatives across VPC locations to ensure operational readiness and compliance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, process optimization, and technology enhancements
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Finance, HR, IT, and EHS to ensure operational alignment and compliance
