About The Position

The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a Manager on Duty (MOD). This position is responsible for overseeing operations during all open club hours and acts on behalf of the general manager and Board of Trustees in enforcing club rules and matters of policy. This position provides excellent service while assisting members, guests and staff as necessary with a variety of tasks that include but not limited to club emergencies and security functions.

Requirements

  • Ability to administer first aid and request medical services as necessary.
  • Ability to perform basic security functions: patrols, investigations and monitor traffic and crowd control.
  • Ability to provide information and assistance to members, guests and staff in emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Ability to assist members, guests and staff with complaints and inquiries and refer them to appropriate staff or department as necessary.
  • Ability to oversee incident and hazard reports as necessary.
  • Ability to enforce all club safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to comply with all Club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Ability to identify and report unsafe or hazardous work conditions as well as workplace injuries and illness.
  • Ability to assist staff with breaks or duties as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the general manager and Board of Directors in matters of house rules and policy enforcement on a day-to-day basis
  • Oversee club operations during early, evening and weekend hours.
  • Respond to emergency situations and implements emergency response procedures,
