About The Position

The Manager on Duty (MOD) will assist in overseeing gym operations to ensure the club's success. This role involves supporting the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Managers (AGMs) in various aspects of club management, including staff training and development, sales, customer service, and facility maintenance. The MOD will also provide backup support when AGMs or the GM are not on site and will be involved in all front desk activities.

Requirements

Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
Solid supervisory, diplomacy, and listening skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic.
Strong problem resolution skills.
Current CPR Certification preferred.
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Strong sales background helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist GM and AGMs in training and developing a high-performing staff.
Engage in sales duties, including making phone calls to prospective members.
Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members, prospective members, and guests.
Ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
Provide backup support to Club management when no AGMs or the GM is on site.
Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
Handle all front desk related activities, including answering phones, checking members in, new member sign-ups, giving tours to prospective members, and facilitating member requests.
Assist in overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
Assist in ordering supplies within a specific budget.
Assist in tracking statistics and reports.
Provide backup support for absent staff members.
