Requirements

  • Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Proficient in computer usage and possess the ability to grow with computer technology.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the smooth operation of the branch as the supervisor in the absence of the Executive Director and other members of the management team.
  • Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with members.
  • Requires a proactive and personable approach with leadership skills that inspire a welcoming and mission-centered atmosphere.
  • Monitor programs and activities, respond to member needs, help with tours, and ensure the safety of the members and security of the facility.
